Match result Bulbourne

11 masochistic Tring anglers turned out at Bulbourne this cold and frosty morning. Frost on the grass, cat ice on the towpath puddles and a chilly NW Wind blowing along the canal didn’t bode well.

However, for those who fished bread punch the roach were there in abundance. I had most of my roach (60) in the first 2 hours on a 5m whip down the track.
Things quietened down later after a flurry of boat traffic muddied the water. Not to mention the incredibly bold cormorant which surfaced and dived along the cut,back and forth, before adding insult to injury by perching on the bank in the turning bay drying its wings…
