Old Codgers Cook s Wharf results

16 Old Codgers fished the Grand Union Canal at Cooks wharf , a club members only water, on a warm sunny morning. All species showed well in various swims below the boat club slipway, in a great advert for canal angling. Rich Gibbs top scored with sweetcorn , maggot and pinkies by the bush beyond the right hand bend. A really top class weight of 27lb 13oz 8 dram included a 2lb 10oz perch and a couple of clonking bream. A mixture of skimmers , roach and perch made up the catch.

Martin Rodwell, continuing his fine form, came a creditable second, with no large fish but a true mixed bag. Tim Watts followed in 3rd place with 10lb 13oz
