ICKFORD POND

Members and guests only – No day tickets
Night fishing is NOT permitted.

The small pond is a recent acquisition and has 5-6 fishing stations and is accessed either from the field next to the river or under a railing after the bridge.  It holds a good head of tench, roach, perch, bleak! the occasional carp and pike.  It is quite deep with some areas over 12 feet.  Please take extra care when climbing over the fence and on to the platforms, especially in wet or icy conditions.

Please note the pond can only be fished in the RIVER Season no fishing from March 15 through to and incl. June 15

Directions

The Ickford fisheries are best reached using the A418 from Aylesbury to Tiddington and turning right at The Fox public house. After about a mile you will go over two small road bridges. We control two fields downstream from the road-bridge, right hand bank. Please do not leave any litter here as Mr. Green the landowner is very particular about what his cattle eat. Please respect the fishery and give Mr. and Mrs. Green the respect they deserve.

Off road parking is now available in the field accessed via a metal gate and our combination lock. If it appears boggy or there are livestock (sheep/cattle) in the field please do not park in the field as you might have difficulty in getting out! and use the parking area in the lay-by on the right hand side of the road just after the bridges.
