FRIDAY 25TH JUNE 2021 – Unfortunately, we have had to close Manor Farm fishery due to a large number of, mainly small, fish deaths which we believe were caused by a sudden drop in oxygen levels due to recent weather conditions. The EA attended and this is their initial belief. They advised that there were a number of similar incidents during this period. We had a work party there this last weekend to open up the path around the pond which had become very overgrown and there was some evidence of fish movement. It is believed these were probably tench or crucian carp which can normally survive these events.

There will be further investigation and we will advise any developments in due course.
